What is Anogard™?

Anogard™ is the brand name we use to refer to our all-purpose, non-corrosive, certified organic and eco-friendly hospital-grade disinfectant & sanitiser. It is a super-oxidized, slightly salty aqueous solution containing hypochlorous acid, the same potent but safe biocide that is produced by the immune systems of higher organisms – humans and pets.

Our patent pending technology has been developed to improve the stability and effectiveness of the solution, aiming to provide our Customers with an effective, safe, and natural product.

Why Hypochlorous acid?

Hypochlorous acid is the active component of all chlorine-based solutions, which have been used since the beginning of the 19th century owing to their disinfectant and deodorizing properties. Thanks to its molecular structure similar to water and the neutral charge, it is able to easily overcome cellular barriers by killing microorganisms from the inside, and this makes it a powerful disinfectant also effective against biofilms (the three-dimensional and slimy structure that microorganisms use to protect themselves and adhere to each other and often also to a surface).

Why does Anogard™ smell like chlorine?

Unlike other chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) or chlorine tablets (calcium hypochlorite), Anogard™ is produced naturally yet still contains hypochlorous acid, which is the active component of all chlorine-based solutions.

The technology with which Anogard™ is produced allows performing an electrolytic activation of the solution, maximizing the hypochlorous acid content compared to other chlorine-based solutions.

Is Anogard™ safe?

Anogard™ has been tested not only for its effectiveness against microorganisms, but also for its toxicological effects, showing no adverse effects following inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, and even eye contact.

Does Anogard™ leave traces?

Anogard™ has passed the rigorous tests required for disinfectants to be allowed for use in aircraft (Boeing and Airbus specifications), demonstrating its chemical compatibility with all parts and materials. The product degrades slowly, leaving no appreciable residues on surfaces.

Is the use of Anogard™ regulated / allowed?

Anogard™ is listed in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) as a hospital-grade disinfectant, approved to kill bacteria and viruses, including human coronavirus (Covid-19), Poliovirus, Adenovirus & Norovirus. Therapeutic goods entered in the ARTG can be lawfully supplied in Australia.

We also have approvals in other overseas markets; we can provide further information if interested.

How do I use Anogard™?

Please follow the “how to use” instructions reported on the label. Allow the product to air dry or wipe dry with a clean cloth.

By applying the solution as a mist, will the building’s fire alarm be affected?

There is a difference between the size of the particles delivered by fogging equipment and our spraying equipment: the latter produces slightly larger droplets, which are then a little heavier and cannot remain suspended in the air like those of a fog. As a result, fire alarms should not be activated when our equipment is used.

How does Anogard™ compare to other products on the market?

Anogard™ is equivalent if not better than other products you can find on the market (in stores or online); the technology behind Anogard™ is covered by multiple patent applications and was developed knowing the limitations of previous products and with the aim of solving and overcoming them, even from an economic point of view… to the full advantage of our Customers 😊.

Can I use Anogard™ to clean my hands?

Unlike other products on the Australian market, which show the “Not to be used on skin” direction, you can use Anogard™ to clean your hands if you don’t have access to soap and water; being not irritants, you don’t need to rinse it off. However, it is NOT a recognized hand sanitizer product
